Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Talent Management, the Talent Management Consultant is a core role in the Talent Management (TM) group responsible for talent management programs and organization effectiveness consulting across Lifespan. The Talent Management Consultant actively contributes to the design, implementation, and management of various talent management processes, including competency modeling, new employee and new leader orientations, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, reward and recognition, career development, talent reviews and succession management. In addition, this role will provide organization development consulting and leadership coaching as needs arise. This may include assisting leaders with team building, cultivating learning, fostering an inclusive environment, and managing the people side of change. This dynamic role requires effective collaboration with HR team members in Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnerships, and Total Rewards, as well as with corporate and affiliate leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Collaborates with the TM director and team to build the infrastructure for a strategic, integrated talent management system at Lifespan; facilitates implementation of new programs, processes, and tools.


Designs and coordinates system-wide employee engagement, performance management, career development, and succession planning projects and processes.


Will serve on Lifespan task forces and cross-functional work groups to drive performance improvement and innovation.


Develops project deliverables: objectives, plans/timelines, communication strategy, presentations; updates HR, corporate, and affiliate stakeholders on progress of different talent initiatives and projects.


Translates project needs into budgetary requirements; participates in the development and tracking of expenditures and revenues against budget estimates for designated programs; advises TM director on need for line-item adjustments, selection and purchase or lease of software, external training consultants or related vendor contracts.


Conducts needs assessments by utilizing various research methods, such as stakeholder interviews and/or focus groups, surveys, literature reviews, etc.


Completes quantitative and qualitative analyses to generate insights and develop recommendations to enhance individual/team/organizational performance.


Collaborates closely with instructional designer to design and build management and leadership developmentcurriculum.


Expands leadership and management capability across the Lifespan system by co-creating a range of development opportunities: training courses, mentoring programs, experiential learning, coaching engagements, video tutorials, job aids, career planning resources, etc.


Facilitates in-person and virtual leadership and management development workshops.


Evaluates the effectiveness of learning and development activities.


Scopes, plans, and executes assigned organizational consulting engagements.


Provides informal and formal coaching for managers and leaders.


Other duties as assigned.
