Job Description
The Senior Vice President, Project Execution, NA is a key leadership stakeholder in Dematic’s success in the marketplace. Most specifically, s/he will be responsible for leading the company in Project Management, Execution, Operations and Installation to further cement Dematic’s position as the market leader in this industry, including accelerating the growth of a global key customer like Amazon. The role will be a leading driver of Dematic’s overall project execution with a full scope of responsibility spanning from customer requirements discussions through to installation. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to increase customer satisfaction while maintaining internal project cost discipline and control.
The SVP, Project Execution and Operations will be responsible for a team of around 200 project managers and more than 1,200 operations and installation professionals supporting the North America market. Further supporting this role is dotted line responsibility for Global Project Engineering and Software Application – both centers of excellence within Dematic.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Selected key responsibilities in this role include:
  • Recruiting, developing, motivating, and managing, highly trained technical professionals to ensure an effective and diverse work force capable of meeting all stated business objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets and business plans. Deliver safely, at quality, in time, at cost.
  • Provide leadership to and develop strategies for Project Management and execution in alignment with the Company's mission statement and strategic plan.
  • Manage by designing/ implementing processes that provide for a high level of customer satisfaction at low / efficient cost.
  • Create/conceptualize new systems, strategies, and programs with significant business impact.
  • Drive the Project Execution Improvement Initiative in support of improving efficiency and reducing cost and risks on the projects.
  • Fostering an inclusive working environment, where you lead by example and concretely support wellbeing of your team members.
  • Successfully defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness.
  • Effectively build a culture that fosters teamwork and cooperation, across the region and with global functions and COEs, to improve efficiency and synergy to reduce waste / cost.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will:
  • Bachelor’s degree required Graduate Degree preferred
  • Be able to work in a high growth environment with demanding deadlines.
  • Have experience with manpower planning, recruiting, and budgeting/forecasting. Demonstrated success in lead generation.
  • Have expertise and experience with large scale project work and execution excellence evidence in an international and matrixed Business.
  • Bring strong communication skills and leverage those skills to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Be willing to travel approximately 40%
  • Proficient experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Have experience and is fast in the analysis of performance metrics: short- and long-term technology development planning, evaluation, testing, and selection.
  • Function as a change agent by demonstrating past successes driving and managing change within an organization.
  • Existing technical experience and knowledge of the material handling industry, supply chain design, or material handling is a plus.
  • Demonstrate experience successfully leading a large team of Project Managers, Engineers, Field Operations and Program Managers.
  • Demonstrate outstanding team building skills with the ability to improve interaction and efficiency as well as the ability to break down barriers / silos.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be USD $250,000.00 - $375,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
