- Manage the software division's budget and resource allocation to optimize productivity and cost-efficiency.
- Partner with senior IT leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive software development and integration strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Partner with business partners at all levels of the organization to understand and align on an IT strategy that allows us to be more successful and capture maximum enterprise value.
- Monitor and assess the performance of software applications and integration processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
- Organize, lead, manage, and mentor multiple teams of software engineers and integration specialists to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in software engineering and integration technologies, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Work closely with enterprise architecture, technology strategists and product owners to understand business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensure effective integration between software systems.
- Institute common practices, processes and tools that will drive efficiency and effectiveness in your delivery processes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members to promote professional growth and enhance their skills.
- Work with technology strategy teams to develop application rationalization roadmaps that retire non-differentiated solutions.
- Oversee the documentation of software architecture, design specifications, and integration processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the organization.
- Identify where differentiated solutions can be improved and modernized. Develop plans to modernize.
- Drive a culture of excellence in software development, emphasizing best practices, code quality, and adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, identify solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Extensive experience in transforming talent and building a technology organization; leading, coaching and mentoring IT engineering and operations leaders
- Experience leading a modern software delivery organization in an enterprise environment.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing global software development within a SaaS or technology-focused company.
- Experience with Cloud native development
- Experience driving and establishing software development delivery that operates in a product -centered agile method
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant business degree is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Track record of delivering successful software products on time and within budget.
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry with strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to align technology strategies with organizational goals.
- May require occasional travel including international travel
- Must work in office 4 days per week with a long-term objective of being in the office 5 days per week
