Overview


Quest is an award-winning IT management software provider offering a broad array of solutions that solve some of the most challenging IT problems is looking for a dynamic Senior Vice President of Global Sales responsible to lead Quest's Information & Systems Management (ISM) sales organization, reporting directly to the President and GM of Quest Software’s ISM business unit. This highly visible position will lead ISM sales globally. Travel is required to support global sales activities with prospects and customers to drive bookings growth.


The Role


Quest is seeking a dynamic SVP of Global Sales to develop, scale and lead the global sales function. This person will be responsible for leading a global team recognized for growth, long term sustainable success, and commitment to Quest’s values and culture.


The SVP of will report directly to the President of the ISM business unit. The executive will have full responsibility over ISM global sales strategy and overall team management. The ideal candidate will have experience establishing sales strategies in a multi-product portfolio, be an expert in direct and channel sales across multiple market segments, including enterprise to SMB, have the ability to closely manage a large pipeline of opportunities, and build and maintain a culture of collaboration between sellers, executives, and the overall Quest business.


This leader will motivate, challenge, and develop a team of leaders underneath him/her and together, drive sales opportunities for the company’s largest business segment.


Responsibilities


  • Work closely with partner ecosystem as a key driver of business growth
  • Be a ‘culture champion’ and inspiring leader
  • Attract, hire, and develop A+ talent
  • Provide honest, thoughtful, and constructive feedback (to both under and over performers)
  • Establish a performance-driven sales organization that exceeds bookings targets
  • Understand how the function and team integrates into and impacts the rest of the organization and leverage these relationships and resources to enable success
  • Clearly articulate vision and value proposition to customers and partners
  • Recommend and acquire the key resources necessary to enable success in the Commercial and Enterprise markets
  • Drive performance through planning, real-time coaching, and actionable development plans
  • Drive alignment across sales organization and other critical functions
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
  • Display a strong executive presence and create buy-in from team and ELT
  • Execute ISMs Global GTM strategy
  • Drive a “winning” culture focused on accountability, collaboration, tenacity, and grit
  • Create sound internal processes in order to effectively address business development challenges, leading teams to achieve targets
  • Mentor and lead a team of 15 direct reports and over 200+ sellers and sales managers
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the market landscape, competitive insights, end user trends across markets and use knowledge to advance sales strategies
  • Build and lead high-performing sales organization
  • Partner cross-functionally within the business to ensure collaboration and effective use of resources, including sales enablement, marketing, professional services, finance, and product engineering to ensure best of breed solutions are brought forward to Quest customers
  • Assume overall responsibility for the direction and execution of growth globally
  • Provide the critical linkage between the long-term strategic plan of the company and near-term new business actions, across multiple sales regions
  • Establish cadence for reporting on sales performance, conversion, and forecasted growth


Qualifications


  • Experience managing global sales teams a must
  • Experience with cybersecurity and / or infrastructure solutions highly desirable
  • Executive level sales expert with established reputation amongst partners and clients
  • Can demonstrate training and sales readiness for a large organization
  • Ability to identify emerging business trends and working with other executive leaders to influence business strategy
  • Expertise in channel and direct sales
  • Board reporting experience preferred; able to effectively articulate sales performance, market dynamics, and GTM strategies
  • 15+ years of experience in a Senior Leadership role with a track record of success leading teams with revenue responsibility of over $300M
