Job Description
Eram Talent, an independent Talent Acquisition Consultancy, is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join their team in the Oil & Energy industry. The company has a global reach and network, satisfying the needs of clients with high potential professionals with sophisticated skills. If selected, the job location would be in Saudi Arabia. The Sustainability Specialist will play a pivotal role in implementing sustainability initiatives and improving the environmental impact of oil and energy projects.


Responsibilities


  • Develop strategies to improve sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of oil and energy projects
  • Collect, analyze and report on sustainability metrics to accurately measure progress towards goals
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to sustainability
  • Provide technical support for capital projects involving petrochemical units at various stages of execution (pre-feasibility, feasibility, basic and detailed engineering).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable initiatives
  • Utilize simulation and modeling (energy and material balances, utilities and catalysts)
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and recommend improvements


Requirements


  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of global sustainability standards and regulations
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience in the oil and energy industry preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • 10+ years of experience in petrochemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in operations and 5 years in an ESG role or similar
