Job Description
Job Summary Statement


The Sustainability Officer will be responsible for aiding in the management of Dometic’s group-wide sustainability function. Additionally, the Sustainability Officer will work with managers, employees, customers, and shareholders to address the organizations approach to environmental responsibility with the goal to minimize the companys environmental impact.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Advise and support Dometic group's management team in further strengthening and developing the group-wide sustainability work, in particular in the Americas region
  • Further develop a long-term sustainability agenda as well as orchestrate its implementation and follow up throughout the organization;
  • Pro-actively monitor the development of new laws and regulations and analyze the impact thereof on the business;
  • Develop and maintain procedures to ensure that applicable requirements are well implemented and followed throughout the organization;
  • Monitor and follow up on sustainability issues in the operations and report directly to the Group Legal Counsel and Group Management (GM);
  • Coordinate the group’s sustainability reporting;
  • Take action and provide recommendations to the Dometic management team on continuous improvements regarding the sustainability
  • Identify and assess sustainability compliance requirements related to our operations;
  • Work with our segment organizations to support the implementation of the procedures, including by conducting training;


Minimum Requirements and Qualifications


As a person you need to understand Dometic's business, have a strong drive for results as well as the determination to deliver according to plan. Furthermore, you have a good balance between strategic long-term thinking and short-term operational actions. You are an ambitious team player, setting high targets for yourself and others and get things done.


  • Fluent in both verbal and written English, knowledge of other languages is a plus;
  • Analytical, structured with good communication skills;
  • The position may require international travelling.
  • A relevant university degree in engineering, sustainability or equivalent;
  • At least 5 years of experience with an international industry or governmental institution;
  • Pragmatic and result-oriented;
  • Good knowledge in and passion for sustainability matters;
