Support Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Juliette Metrology Lab. Duties include, but not limited to: shipping/receiving heavy equipment, establish and maintain filing system (electronic and paper), process equipment into and out of the lab as necessary, answers customer inquiries regarding order status or refers calls to a qualified technical representative, and complete data entry/paperwork as necessary to process equipment through the lab. This position shall also safeguard paperwork for delivery to customers, and administer purchase orders for contract services, parts, and supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS ( Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

High school diploma is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open work orders in software program for all equipment sent to the lab for repair/calibration
  • Package, ship, and track (some heavy) equipment to vendors and back to customers using UPS program
  • Complete paperwork packages for equipment returning to customers
  • Send various equipment notifications and status reports to customers as needed
  • Answer phones and direct customer questions to appropriate personnel
  • Process Maximo and I-expense for JML
