Lead Infrastructure Engineer Jobs

The Opportunity:

Premier Group are currently recruiting a skilled Lead Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client, an innovative technology leader in machine learning.

The organization is expanding significantly and as such are continuously searching for the brightest, most talented people. You will contribute to the technical success of the organization and ensure the smooth operation of the SaaS platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities will include:

• Enhance the monitoring tool stack to ensure effective deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of systems.
• Analyze and understand product requirements, translating them into technical designs and specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and help identify training opportunities and support career advancement within the organization.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of tools for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
• Ensure the stability and scalability of the SaaS platform infrastructure.
• Implement automation tools and practices to improve team efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams to implement and maintain robust security measures.
• Build clean, modular, and maintainable code that can be reused across projects.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical goals with overall business objectives.
• Engage directly with teams to address technical challenges and develop effective solutions.

About You:

• You have worked closely with development teams to promote SRE principles and practices.
• Experience in managing databases and ensuring data integrity.
• You are familiar with artifact management tools and have knowledge of software release cycles.
• Experience managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience with the following programming languages (Golang, Python)
• Excellent communication skills that enable effective collaboration with individuals from diverse technical backgrounds.
• Hands-on experience with (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Have experience in building and maintaining SaaS applications using microservices architecture on various cloud platforms. (AWS)
• Experience with various monitoring tools and understand best practices for monitoring system performance.
• You have experience in responding to production outages, identifying root causes, and leading blameless post-mortem sessions to drive continuous improvement.
• You have demonstrated the ability to lead teams and drive the adoption of new technologies and processes.
