JOB SUMMARY

Manages process with the Branches to accurately and timely process Retail customer shipments. Lead process development and implementation of standardized procedures and processes within the Supply Chain logistics team. Develop and train on proper procedures and effective supply chain activities.


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order management / Dispatching / Tendering skills continually enhanced and best practices shared throughout the organization
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with business partners to process, ship and proactively monitor Retail orders/shipments in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Identify and execute training efforts with the team to shore up skill gaps and bolster performance.
  • Manage, balance and prioritize individual workloads within the Branches for Retail shipments. Seek feedback from Sales, DSRs, and various supply chain/operations personnel regarding coaching opportunities as it pertains to their business partner relationships.
  • Provide prompt feedback to appropriate key stakeholders regarding potential order management/ dispatching/tendering/carrier-related issues that affect level of customer service.
  • Act as a SME with SAP project team to institute best practices for stabilization and any other post go live enhancement activities.
  • Provide highest level of customer service and support to business partners and retailers.
  • Responsible to coach and encourage Branches to clearly understand their accountabilities with Retail shipments, and be motivated to deliver improved results.
  • Serve as first tier support and supervision to Field Logistics and Branch personnel for questions regarding Retail process, policies, and systems.
  • Work in tandem with Supply Channel Analyst to update data matrix in Retail Dashboards to monitor OTIF and other shipment activity which includes communicating data needs to and from Customers.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Communications or commensurate experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Ability to provide, while leading by example, superior customer service to resolve shipping issues to Sales and Supply Chain teams during particularly during peak shipping period.
  • Ability to look at processes and dissect and modify them to recognize efficiencies.
  • Ability to recognize obstacles in the order file that may prevent shipment and risk to shipping plan.
  • Must have strong computer systems experience and abilities to process through complex order management system. SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work independently solving problems on orders by reaching out to key stakeholders and analyzing the order file in order to make accurate decisions on execution.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Address performance issues in a timely and fair manner.
  • 3-5 years of customer service / transportation experience.
  • Must have Excel/analytical skills to update Tableau reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize workload for self and team based on business need. Must be able to meet business needs given competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with customers, carriers, peers, management and other departments.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and make quick decisions in a very versatile environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills required.
  • Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
