The Supplier Relations Quality Control Associate is part of the Customer Channels Group (CCG) serving academic, pharmaceutical, biotech, government and industrial customers by providing them with products manufactured by our company as well as those sourced from other industry-leading suppliers around the world. The Quality Control Associate role is responsible for conducting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout all areas of the distribution center (DC). The audits will be focused on supplier compliance and adherence to industry standards for EDI, packing slip accuracy, labeling, and general packing and inbound shipping quality. This position requires establishing and maintaining a strategic and collaborative relationship with a remote team in Pittsburgh and supporting the internal distribution team. The Quality Control Associate ensures the adherence for suppliers to meet our Operational Requirements and the penetration of electronic transaction utilization.

A Day in the Life:

  • Participate in DC and Supplier Relations activities and events
  • Inspect and document audit of damaged freight
  • Participate in the involvement of continuous improvement in developing compliance systems and process
  • Support department standup meetings
  • Provide documentation and communication of non-compliance with both the Supplier Relations and DC Teams
  • Complete detailed documentation of inbound supplier receiving audits
  • Demonstrate strong safety awareness and flow all the guidelines within the DC
  • Oversee audits that include the review of packing slip accuracy, labeling accuracy, carton integrity, general packing and shipping

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High School Diploma required

Experience

  • 3+ years of Distribution/Operations/Manufacturing experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong cross functional relationship building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent self-motivated worker
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
