Duties


Limiting Number of Applicants: It is recommended that you apply as soon as possible in order to receive consideration as this announcement will close on June 2, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. ET or on the day we receive 150 applicants (whichever comes first.) This position starts at a salary of $136,908.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $177,978.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $177,978 (GS-15 Step 10). Serves as a second line supervisor to criminal investigators based in the field or as a supervisor based at headquarters with oversight for major IOD-wide programs. Serve as the expert on digital forensics matters for IOD wide. Conducts live analyses and dead-box analyses on various forms of media, including mobile devices, traditional computers, virtual systems, and online data. As a senior level OPR manager at headquarters or to an assigned area of responsibility, the incumbent will ensure OPR's Cyber investigative programs provide support for the broader CBP integrity strategy and all aspects of OPR's Special Agent in Charge offices and related sub-offices including investigations and matters of facilities, budget, equipment, and personnel. At headquarters, the incumbent will develop and implement long-term plans ensuring OPR mission effectiveness and will have oversight of a range of OPR investigative programs as determined by higher headquarters. Supervising subordinate supervisors who manage and nonsupervisory criminal investigators engaged in planning, conducting, and documenting investigative activity. Monitoring the progress of programs and assuring all investigations, inspections, and evaluations are conducted pursuant to national policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Liaising mission partners, including Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Federal Bureau of lnvestigation (FBI) and other Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and other CBP offices, to maintain productive partnerships in furtherance of criminal and administrative investigations as well as organizational relations.
