Summary:


Organizes and supervises tray line and dish room operations and personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Orients, trains and oversees assigned personnel, under the direction of the supervisor or manager to include, but not limited to
  • Oversees quality assurance activities pertaining to assigned activities.
  • Counsels employees with performance or behavioral problems, if requested by and approved by the supervisor.
  • Orients and trains assigned employees to the specifics of their jobs;
  • Investigates and takes action to resolve any problems with work results;
  • Assigns and checks work results for quality, accuracy and timeliness;
  • Approves meal and rest periods, as warranted;
  • May interview applicants and make hiring recommendations, if requested;

Other information:

  • Incumbent must demonstrate competence per the position’s Skills Checklist before being allowed to perform independently.
  • Food Handlers Certificate within 6 months of hire. Recertification required every 3 years.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
  • 2 years of Healthcare/Medical - Healthcare - Other with Dietary experience
  • Knowledge of dietary routines and sanitation procedures.
  • Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication during interaction with others.
  • Familiarity with the use of keyboard and basic computer operations.
  • High school graduate or GED.
