Oversees daily operations of MLT/MT/MLS within Core Lab (Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis.

Follows established procedures and evaluates and solves problems related to collection and processing of samples for analysis

Performs high complexity testing, recognizes deviations from expected results and takes appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision

Operates and maintains equipment

Evaluates new techniques and procedures, performs evaluation and method validation

Writes and revises technical procedures

Creates staff schedules, organizes workloads and assigns duties to staff, including securing sufficient coverage

Performs payroll functions

Participates in hiring, evaluation and training of new employees

Monitors TAT for Core Lab tests

Participates in CAP preparation, inspections and and compliance

Orients new employees

Maintains inventory levels

Leads department safety huddles

Serves on internal and external committees

Supports administrative and laboratory policies and procedures

Participates and performs employee competencies

Additional duties as assigned
