Liberty Resources is currently seeking a Supervising Therapist for our Integrated Health Care Clinic. The Integrated Health Care Clinic, is the largest provider of outpatient mental health services in Central New York. Using a number of evidence-based practices, Integrated Health Care practitioners provide individual, family, and group therapy; co-occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment; psychiatric evaluation; and medication management services to adults, children, and families.

Position Summary

The Supervising Therapist is a member of the clinic leadership team who provides clinical and administrative oversight to the clinics’ quality of care and operating success. Supervising Therapists provide direct care services to individuals, couples and families, Clinical supervision to assigned clinic staff and student interns, and administrative oversight for assigned staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment and understanding of clinical issues affecting individuals and families in the mental health system.
• Ability to provide clinical and administrative supervision in a manner that supports staff and clinic success.
• Must be able to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work.
• Sensitive to all aspects of diversity and able to incorporate that understanding into service provision.
• Applies technical and professional knowledge to daily practice in the Mental Health field.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift objects of up to 10lbs as required.

Qualifications

LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT or related advanced clinical degree and New York State license. At least three (3) years post-graduate experience. Prior experience providing clinical and administrative supervision is preferred. Prior related experience may be substituted for one of the three year post- graduate requirement. Must be flexible, oriented to family work and have the ability to work one evening per week. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.
