JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Superintendent, Building Products will be providing guidance, support, direction and leadership through positive interactions with all personnel during the daily operations. Superintendent-Production, Building Products will also assist in supervising production, safety, scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training, and auditing activities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
- Supervising equipment/facility maintenance operations including the preventative maintenance program
- Leading a team of employees with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and production
- Conferring with the plant manager to establish working schedules for all of production
- Assisting the plant manager in creating a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of plant safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Training and coaching supervisors and hourly personnel
- Making recommendations and assisting the plant manager in developing the operating plan and monitoring results against the plan. Assist the plant manager in other matters such as, but not limited to safety management, quality assurance, office administration and risk management.
- Assist in equipment and machine acquisition and repairs, service contracts and agreements
- Directing and coordinating the activities as assigned to obtain maximum efficiency of operations to meet production needs
- All other duties as requested or assigned
- Maintain current permits and/or obtain new permits from appropriate governmental agencies, ensuring the facility is in regulatory compliance
- Adhering to budget for all departments including maintenance supplies

- Excellent work integrity

- Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Equipment repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 - 5 years' experience in functional role
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
- Be exposed to temperature extremes inside or out
- Lift/move/transport items up to 30 pounds
- Prolong standing or in stationary position
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
- Complete repetitive movements
- Work in constant noise above 85 decibels
- Bend or twist
- Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ascend or descend stairs
- Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
- Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection
