General Description:
The Global Procurement Summer Intern will be responsible for the support of the procurement planning and strategy within the EDPR Global Procurement Department. The summer intern will support the department by creating tools, building reports, and initiating processes improvements through data analysis. In this function, business analysis, contract review, and market intelligence analysis will be sued to accomplish improvement objectives and business results.
This is a paid 10-week, full-time internship that will start on or around June 5, 2023, with an end date of August 11, 2023
Main Accountabilities:
- Perform other related duties and special projects as required
- Provides analytical support to the Global Procurement department and senior management
- Conduct ongoing analysis to monitor market movement and assess strengths and weaknesses of various vendors' technologies
- Support procurement initiatives pertaining to OEM supply contracting, market intelligence, workflow, and vendor relations
- Help train the team in renewable energy technology knowledge and applications
- Maintain detailed knowledge of market developments regarding renewable energy technologies, global supply chain, market intelligence, analytics, and knowledge management
- Create documentation outlining process improvements
- Evaluate existing contract language and suggest improvements in favor of EDPR
- Develop innovative, collaborative solutions that improve work efficiency and support decision making
- Review, suggest updates to, and document procedures and policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a current (Junior or Senior) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); previous experience with relational databases, and BPM systems such as Appian and SAP
- Work experience in a related field is preferred; previous business consulting and/or project management experience is a plus

- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
