Job Summary
In this position, you will provide community collaboration efforts to increase the awareness, promotion and utilization of USDA's community nutrition programs including the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the At-Risk Afterschool Meals (At-Risk) segment of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Duties will include:
- Provide direction and training for internal staff regarding SFSP and At-Risk Program information, policy updates, and administrative reviews.
- Providing leadership, annual planning and delivery of education materials to school and community-based programs to ensure compliance with policy, rules and regulations;
- Assist with the development and delivery of administrative reviews, workshop/trainings and information materials to external stakeholders;
- Implementation of best practices regarding meals and snack programs provided to youth outside of the school day;
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of professional experience in Project planning and Management of Public Programs including outreach, promotion and marketing, training adult learners, preparing accessible documents for public websites, preparing written materials for broad-based communications, and partnering with stakehold organizations
OR
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 6 years professional experience in planning and administering state-wide or nation-wide public Nutrition Programs including ensuring compliance with policy, rules and regulations.
Professional work experience in promotion, marketing, social marketing of health or public funding programs to organizations that serve school-age children
Knowledge and experience working with the USDA Child Nutrition Programs including At-Risk Afterschool Meals and Summer Food Service Programs
