NORY is a premium STEM camp for 3-12 year-old children, working with 3,000 campers at 9 camp locations in NYC annually. We use STEM to nurture purposeful changemakers by helping children develop Resilience, Inquisitiveness, and Empathy. We are looking for a rock-star Summer Camp Site Director. Why join NORY?

At NORY, we are committed to the professional development of our team members. As a Site Director, you'll receive training and support to enhance your skills in STEM education and leadership. You'll be part of a vibrant, collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity, where every team member is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our campers.


Summer Camp Site Director Responsibilities:

  • Coach and train teachers, helping them understand the purpose of each activity and implementing protocols for a FUN and SAFE environment
  • Keep administrative records for the camp
  • Nurture positive, supportive relationships with NORY campers and their families
  • Provide adequate support to achieve the following 3 core camp goals: Safety, Fun, and NORY Core Values (resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy)
  • Manage resources critical to the success of our NORY camp (i.e., materials, facilities, daily schedule, etc.)


Summer Camp Site Director Compensation and Benefits:

  • Benefits: Free Lunch, $100 Wellness Fund
  • Benefits: 401K for those who worked at NORY for 12 months or more
  • Possible Pre-Season Work (May): 2~10 hours/week
  • Compensation: $1250-$1525/week (Expected Bonus $175/week + Merit-based Bonus $100/week)
