Description

Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, has been helping animals and people since 1873. Together with our community, we better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care. Our organization cares for thousands of animals each year-saving animals from abuse and suffering, sending homeless pets to new homes, connecting pet owners with resources to keep their pets, and sharing information on how to help animals every day.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with both children and animals! The Lead Camp Counselor will be responsible for supervising Camp Counselors, day-to-day parent communication, and managing the daily activities within camp.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as requested
• Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable state and federal laws
• Observe and support safety and health for self and others
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times
• Establish a clear and smooth sign-in/sign out procedure
• Collaborates with Camp Counselors to prepare daily supplies and plan activities
• Provide leadership to Camp Counselors
• Implements humane education lessons, animal interactions, animal-related chores, crafts, and educational games
• Maintains camper attendance and enrollment paperwork in accordance with policies and regulations
• Build relationships through consistent communication with parents
