The Data Entry & Research Analyst Internship is a temporary position within HII – Mission Technologies at our Fair Lakes, Virginia location which prepares a college student for entry into the workforce by providing emphasis on training and gathering experience related to a student's educational discipline and which is applicable to the business needs of the company. The position is for college students who are rising Sophomores in their academic program. As part of our Growth Operations team, you will bring your talents and dedication to develop and support proprietary tools and solutions for our internal customers to promote a more efficient process of searching and creating bid artifacts.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Support business development operations and respond to requests from business development managers and other internal customers
- Assume functional responsibility to help develop and manage the pipeline management system, resource and artifact libraries, and other databases
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with the executive leadership team, operations leaders, business developers, and capture and proposal managers
- Assist with document/content management and data sharing
- Research and analysis
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to derive qualified recommendations and assessments, competitive strategies, and approaches
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent & must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 40% of the required credits completed.
- Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredidted college or university majoring in the following or similar disciplines: Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Math, or Engineering. Minimum requirement of a 3.0 GPA while participating in this internship.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and/or genuine interest working in an innovation-driven environment
- Effective problem solving, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Salesforce (or other CRM tools)
