Job Description

As an Intern, you will help achieve our mission by gaining work experience within one's field within specific areas in Inova. The Intern will increase knowledge of area of study and or specialty.

As an intern with Inova’s Information Security team, you will conduct risk assessments and develop reports to manage and mitigate risks to protect Inova and control access in an enterprise environment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Displays progress in level of functionality.
  • Provides technical and/or analytic feedback and assessments.
  • Takes direction in a positive manner.
  • Provides expertise within field of specialty and/or study. Increases knowledge of area of study and or specialty.
  • Able to interact effectively with management, staff and other personnel, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
  • Gains work experience within one's field within specific areas in Inova.
  • Serves as project assistant or lead for specific initiatives across Inova Health System.
  • Communicates effectively with mentor(s) and over time, demonstrates greater independence and decision making ability.
  • Demonstrates acquisition and exercise of new skills.

Additional Requirements

Education

Current student or recent graduate of an accredited associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program.

Experience

Ability to fulfill up to a 6-8 weeks internship commitment
