The Nuance Network, a part of the Alston Industries family of companies, is an independent broadcast media brand and amplifier for engaging storytelling from underrepresented perspectives in niche and popular culture.
As writers, filmmakers, world-travelers, tech fans, and business professionals, we provide our audiences the comfort of centering their multifaceted experiences and “showing us more of ourselves” as the highest form of commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In partnership with The OGC Brand, we are looking to hire a studio manager to facilitate the recording and production of a golf-themed podcast for one season. The ideal candidate is comfortable with the nuances of remote work, technically competent, and detail-oriented.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Actively manage talent performance during studio sessions (pace, censoring, etc.).
- Guide talent during recording sessions according to pre established episode plans.
- Utilize a cloud-based software platform to attend and manage recording sessions.
- Collaborate with talent to troubleshoot basic issues as needed.
- Attend and facilitate one virtual recording studio session per week.
- Oversee all operations during sessions to recordings are smooth and efficient.
- Work with the production team to establish expectations for creative objectives.
- Ensure proper execution of any sponsored content (ads, segments, etc.).
- Engage consistently with coordinators and producers to schedule sessions.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Previous experience with remote conferencing (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.)
- Effective communication, the ability to collaborate, and the ability to be coached. Flexibility to work part-time hours on a temporary or contract/project-based basis.
- A strong technological competency and a laptop, smartphone, or private computer
- The ability to work beyond Monday through Friday or “9 to 5”.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality audio output.
- Strong technical knowledge of recording equipment, microphones, mixers, and audio interfaces.
- Effective internet access and access to a quiet, uninterrupted workspace.
