Student Research Assistant Jobs

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Research Assistant to join the UCLA Center for Culture, Trauma, & Mental Health Disparities. You will provide clerical support to the center and assist on projects. Primary duties include: - Assist in implementing interventions - Assist in conducting assessments of effectiveness of interventions - Assist in coordinating intervention groups - Provide technical support (WiFi hotspots, tablets, zoom support, etc) - Assist in conducting assessments of effectiveness of interventions - Front desk duties (answering phones, filing, faxing, etc.) - Assist in maintaining the Center’s website - Other duties assigned Salary range: $16.00-$37.50 Hourly

Must be current UC student Ability to communicate in Spanish (highly preferred) Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency Excellent communication abilities Ability to be non-judgmental about diverse sexual experiences and lifestyles of men and women Ability to interact on a professional level with other research team members Ability and comfort interviewing on subjects regarding sensitive material, including sexual contact and HIV/AIDS Ability to conduct an assessment Understanding of socio-cultural factors related to sex and relationships
