Student Assistant Digital Transformation Office*

Home Office/Bonn


The position is to be filled as of July 3, 2023, with an initial contract duration of one year. There are good prospects for an extension. Working from home is possible at any time in coordination with your team, but we would still like to meet at our headquarters in Bonn Bad Godesberg from time to time. You will work 20 hours/week, to enable you to continue your qualification within the framework of your current studies. The position is remunerated with 14 Euro per hour.

Welthungerhilfe is taking a proactive approach to the changes brought about by digitization. Not only on paper, but every day and in real terms. The Digital Transformation Office takes on the task of identifying digital trends and opportunities for the organization, supporting employees in the digital transformation and offering practical solutions. In addition to digital project management, the team is jointly responsible for shaping and driving cultural transformation - and thats where you come in! This cultural change demands and promotes the rethinking of previous ways of behaving and working in order to ensure the sustainable success of Welthungerhilfe in the digital world - always with the goal of continuing to position Welthungerhilfe in the best possible way to fight hunger and poverty in continuous change. To support our interdisciplinary and international team we are looking for you as Student Assistant!

Your responsibilities


  • Help us to shape the digital transformation in a positive, proactive and inspiring way - even for those who are hesitant about digitalization
  • "Culture change has to be experienced" - support us creatively in the development, design, communication and promotion of new formats, materials and (virtual) events
  • It is not important what you study, but what we make of it together
  • Humor and reliability: we work with all Welthungerhilfe employees worldwide and with all committees - staying calm and at the same time absolutely precise is no problem for you
  • Support the team in rolling out and training digital tools and agile methods and help with the conception and implementation of workshops and events
  • Represent Welthungerhilfe and the Digital Transformation Office internally and externally and identify with our concerns and values

Your profile


  • You support us with internal trainings and can teach tools and technical stuff to someone who doesn't have much experience with it yet.
  • English: Our team is international, Welthungerhilfe works in almost 40 countries - excellent spoken and written English language skills are required.
  • You're a student and currently enrolled at a university.
  • Nice to have: We always need video clips, photo animations and good presentations - and you are familiar with such things.
  • New work and agility are more than just buzzwords for you and you are eager to accompany others on their way into the digital future.
  • You have excellent skills in using SharePoint, TEAMS, Yammer and are able to support others in using MS Office products.
