Structural Steel Estimator Jobs

Met-Con, Inc., a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and erection company, is seeking a full-time Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimator for our Cocoa, Florida location. Primary responsibility is to estimate labor and material costs required for a wide range of fabrication projects from Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Steel, Stairs, Railings, Carbon, Stainless and Aluminum. Will be required to do labor and material take-offs. Evaluate the bid specifications and drawings. Prepares and submits bid proposals. Assist in project planning, communication, General Requirements: Experience estimating in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication industry Ability to read blueprints, shop, contract drawings, specifications, front end documents, etc. Computer Proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Knowledge of AISC standards and industry code Must have strong communication skills Work well in a team environment Work independently and have good work ethic Blue Beam/Revu experience a plus Tekla EPM experience a plus Aerospace/ Theme Park experience a plus Met-Con, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
