Job Description
Overview


Allied Reliability is looking for an Storeroom Technician based in Dixon, IL!


Responsibilities


Control and improve stock control procedures to secure high levels of operational efficiency in conjunction with the mill services team.


Ensure pricing, stock levels, and supplier information are up to date and accurate.


Monitor & complete receipts for orders when stock has been received.


Ensure inventory numbers and part locations are accurate and updated as needed.


Actively promote continuous improvement activities for the stores area, including the development of systems based on robust data analysis.


Develop and provide training for users in CMMS stock management and general store processes.


Create purchase requisitions for orders and follow up when needed.


Obtain quotations for materials, monitor the status of POs, and request updates from vendors when delivery is past due.


Qualifications


Experience with stock control procedures in a stock control environment and best purchase practices is needed. 


Proficient with Microsoft Office with minimum intermediate level skills in Excel. 


Experience In Using CMMS Or MRP Systems (SAP) Preferred.


Understanding of Continual Improvement and lean manufacturing (including 5S & TPM). 


Good communication, networking, and presentation skills at all levels of the organization. Very well-developed personal administration, organizational, and time management skills.


Ability to innovate, problem solve and be decisive to ensure parts availability.


Must be able to operate a forklift (previous experience preferred but will also locally train and certify). 


Base understanding of accounting practices or ability to learn, knowledge of engineering practices, or engineering experience.
