Job Description
Position Summary:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store activities. This includes managing procurement, sourcing, inventory management, logistics, customer service, contract compliance, and special ordering activities at his/her assigned base. The Store Manager oversees management of the team and ensures the Store meets key performance indicators, such as inventory levels, on-time deliveries, customer satisfaction, and regular meetings with our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
  • Provides outstanding customer service, including regular follow-up on closed sales to verify delivery and quality were as promised
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and workspace
  • Guiding and advising supervisors in the more complex phases of work.
  • Calls on customers both in person in via telephone to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Ensuring that the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel.
  • Provides back up support for other store functions, as required.
  • Manages all activities within the Base Store. Acts as the primary point of contact with the customer and works in conjunction with the Program Director to ensure all contractual requirements are met.
  • Resolves customer issues promptly and accurately in a manner to retain and promote customer loyalty.
  • Works with corporate purchasing, accounting, and warehouse support teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders
  • Works closely with suppliers and with logistics partners to ensure best pricing and delivery
  • Making or approving decisions for department employees regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary recommendations, transfers, and terminations.
  • Develops monthly sales plans to support corporate projections and implements direct sales activities to meet company quotas
  • Generate quotes for customers, provide product expertise, and assists in identifying optimal funding vehicles
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Meets regularly with Military Leadership to provide updates and support planning activities
  • Motivating employees and maintaining a high level of morale.
  • Manages team by:
  • Resolving personnel problems, particularly those of a more complex nature.
Experience, Education, Certifications:
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Must be able to pass DOD background check
  • Military Experience a plus.
  • Certified Forklift Operator
  • Must be a US citizen
  • 1-2 years warehouse experience.

Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, NetSuite a plus
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push and slide material/packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand & walk for up to 8 hours a day.
