Standing Seam Driver Jobs

Tri County Metals is looking for a full time Standing Seam Driver for our Trenton location. The Standing Seam Driver will drive truck and trailer to specified destination with company products to fabricate metal at job site.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedule on truck and standing seam equipment.
• Read production ticket and verify items, quantities and use tape measure to verify.
• Report accidents, traffic citations, traffic delays and any other transportation situations to manager.
• Submit money received and receipt to office at the end of each day.
• Ensure safe and proper loading of coil, trim and accessories.
• Keep vehicle clean and operational.
• Operate vehicle legally and safely at all times.
• Maintain logs of pre-trip inspections and maintenance performed.
• Present invoices to customer and collect payment for product delivered.
• Adhere to company procedures and policies.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and logs when required.
• Verify items on the load match the items on the production tickets for accuracy.

Required

• Ability to maneuver a large trailer through small openings, around objects and back into tight places without damaging vehicle, trailer or items nearby.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Manufacture & unload items safely while following safety procedures while not causing harm to oneself, others around or the products for delivery.
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, additional straps on loads, etc.
• Communicate with customer in person and on the phone with ability to answer questions concerning items produced/delivered.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read a map, follow written and GPS directions.
