Department Summary


Staff UAT Analyst sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.


Write and execute automated performance tests, analyze the results, log and track performance problems, and prepare reports on testing results. Perform manual testing of the Sling App across numerous streaming devices. Consult on the customer experience in app and on web within various cross-functional teams, applying his highly technical knowledge to early discussions of key initiatives. Perform Automation Scripting and Testing for Sling Web Application, UAT Manual Client Testing, UAT Automated Client Testing; maintaining and upkeep of the UAT Test Lab


Responsible for testing four primary areas: (1) new and updated Sling TV apps (Roku, Android, iOS, etc), (2) changes to the sling.com website, (3) new channel launches and programming updates, and (4) strategic business initiatives like DVR. Coordinate projects across engineering and internal functional areas. Provide a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and trouble-shooting to improve, advance, or simplify processes. Participate in and/or conduct verifications of special projects. Analyze current processes and procedures in order to make recommendations to promote effective operations within and between departments. Recommend the final course of action among several alternatives for enhancements to operational policies, procedures, and systems. Manage the completion of difficult projects that are broad in nature by following general guidelines and using creativity and resourcefulness to meet established goals. Prepare and deliver required training to facilitate changes in business policy, procedures, and system implementations. Evaluate performance against established metrics to determine acceptable levels of quality or efficiency for various business functions and units.


Job requirements :


Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in the media/entertainment space in the job offered or in a similar technical engineer position. Also requires 5 years of work experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):


  • SDLC, UAT Testing Concepts
  • Performing acceptance testing.
  • Google Sheets, Python, Jira, Wiki, WitBe Workbench/Automation, Rally, Selenium, and Robot Framework
  • Conviva, Pulse, WitBe Data Lab, PyCharm, Jenkins, Adobe Experience Manager
  • Automation Testing and UAT Analytics


Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, which may include a drug test.


Rate of pay: $134,610.94
