Role Summary:
The Staff IT Program Manager is an integral part of the IT Enterprise Manufacturing PMO team and will be responsible for managing cross-functional programs/ projects from end-to-end. This role entails significant leadership in launching new facilities, new vehicle products, vehicle configurations for manufacturing globally, ranging from IT Infrastructure planning, Software Development for Manufacturing, integration, scheduling, engineering builds, test/validation plans, change management, supply chain and production ramp. As Rivian will continue to grow and expand, the TPM role is crucial to leading the teams to success.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the scope, road map, implementation and tracking of projects from start to finish
  • Build partnerships with other organizations, and work proactively with business teams to ensure security objectives are met
  • Drive IT initiatives cross functionally with product, engineers and sap
  • Partnering with the program sponsor, architects, tech leads and engineers, business leads and dependent system stakeholders to ensure milestones are met and project is a success
  • Ensure timely completion of IT Programs and Projects
  • Set goals, track deliverables, manage expectations, identify risk and drive mitigations across all stages of the project.
  • Develop tools and analytics for project reporting, enabling program teams to focus more efforts on problem solving, risk management and changes
  • Anticipate, plan and coordinate internal logistics/needs across projects
  • Work collaboratively with engineering leads and managers to set goals and track deliverables.
  • Create and develop program reports and summaries for executive management in conjunction with team leads across the infrastructure group
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of related experience is required
  • Bachelors Degree in management, IT or related field is required
  • Experience in fast paced environment with exposure to end-to-end product deployment — from concept through development and successful launch.
  • Solid foundation in software engineering principles
  • Experience in technical program or project management, ideally with multiple delivered projects of medium ($1-25M+) to large sized capital equipment systems
  • Experience in fast paced environment with exposure to end-to-end product deployment — from concept through development and successful launch.
  • Proficiency in PM/communication tools such as Confluence, Jira, schedules, etc.
