Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Systems, the Business System Analyst will be a key member of a lean and high impact Tech organization dispersed in 4 sites and 2 Countries.
You are an energetic Business System Analyst who is interested in delivering quality solutions to help our Finance organization drive customer satisfaction. You will be working in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment focused on delivering value-added services that exceed customer expectations. You will also serve a critical role in partnering with Sales, Marketing and Customer Care operations. This incumbent will be a passionate, talented analyst who has outstanding business acumen, intellectual curiosity, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. You are a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to details), and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements; analyze business processes; analyze source data; produce functional specifications, data flows and business rules; and assist with the implementation of those specifications
  • Participate in periodic release cycles and work with business stakeholders to prioritize bugs and enhancements
  • Design and assist with building integrations between Salesforce, Oracle and other enterprise systems.
  • Operate as the partner primarily to the Finance organization and secondarily with Product, Sales and Service, working with executives, managers and professional services engineers, to drive various solutions for Move Inc, as well as administer our http://Salesforce.com and Oracle platforms for them. You will work closely with business partners to drive business strategy and process optimization, capture user requirements, and assist the IT development team in designing, testing, and implementing software solutions that meet the business’s needs.
  • Work with end users to resolve day-to-day Production issues and support SOX audits
  • Assist in developing and documenting system, integration, and user acceptance tests
  • Help drive process improvements and recommend best practices on the http://SalesForce.com platform; leverage your knowledge of best practices.
  • Drive the initiation, planning, requirements, design, test and post-production phases of the solution development life cycle
  • Assist with the development of testing flows for QA testing of all developed solutions, integrations, workflows, reports, and quarterly patch updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Provide project management support for IT initiatives and projects
  • Collaborate with the team to assess the cross functional impacts of business decisions across the Salesforce and Oracle platforms and provide input on IT processes and procedures affecting the team
  • Work with Product organization to help define the introduction of new media based products to help enable revenue increase
  • Work with Salesforce and Oracle support for technical resolution of the issues and serve as liaison between Salesforce/Oracle and/or maintenance support team.
  • Support the period close activity, perform month-end reconciliations and assist with smoother period closes.
  • Participate in strategic planning with the professional services organization and help define global business processes, KPIs and measurements with our analytics team

What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to work with external vendors to resolve issues and manage project initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce from a Finance, Sales and Marketing perspective. Should understand basics of cross-functional accounting, billing and revenue recognition
  • Basic programming skills is preferred
  • Experience with FRC Reporting and SmartView reporting is preferred
  • Demonstrated Business Analyst work with large scale applications that may include CRM and ERP solution is required
  • Past work experience as a developer
  • Experience with Agile methodology and project management tools such as Jira is required
  • Strong team player with excellent listening, interpersonal, facilitation, written, oral and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate concepts in both technical and user-friendly language to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Experience working with the Tier 1 Finance Applications or Cloud based Financial applications is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
  • Basic SQL and report development skills is preferred
  • Business process Flow and UML flow design skills is preferred
  • Solid business acumen; ability to understand and anticipate business needs in order to provide appropriate solutions
  • Experience in building and supporting integrations between Salesforce and Oracle ERP Cloud is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Solid understanding of Accounting, Revenue recognition, sales and service processes is required
  • Proven problem resolution and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize and adapt quickly to change in high pressure situations with minimal supervision required
  • 8-10 years of hands on experience working with Salesforce, Oracle EBS or Fusion financials implementation and support
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 5 or more years supporting and administering http://Salesforce.com or Zuora and Oracle EBS or Fusion financial systems
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and be able to negotiate if needed
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development
  • Good understanding of finance business flows including Order to cash, Revenue Recognition, procure to pay, Record to Report, Asset life cycle, sub-ledger to GL reconciliations and period close process is expected.

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect in the listed locations. We tailor our offers based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process. All ranges are location based, ranges for positions in other locations may vary based on the local market.
Salary Range for select office locations
Santa Clara $143,100 to $208,100
Westlake Village $135,100 to $196,100
Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as percentage of salary. Similarly to salary, annual incentive bonus targets are set based on a variety of factors including job level, competitive market practice, experience, tenure, and essential skills.
