Staff Accountant Jobs

This position will be responsible for preparing and loading month end journal entries for the eviCore general accounting team. This role will also be responsible for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, approving checks/EFT’s in the system, performing analysis and reporting functions, and SOX controls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Processing accurate monthly journal entries
Prepare reconciliations
Approve checks/EFT’s in the system
Assist with analyzing data and reporting
Assist internal & external auditors with monthly, quarterly reviews and year-end audit
Other projects/assignments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
0-2 years of relevant experience
PC skills / Microsoft Office programs
Strong Excel skills
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficiency in accounting processes, procedures, and controls
Experience in general ledger account analysis/reconciliation
Experience working with cross functional departments to research and resolve issues
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a heavy workload
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate departmental and project deadlines.
Ability to work independently and within a team
