Job Description

Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Duration: 6-Month Contract, Potential Conversion to Permanent

Work Authorization: US Citizen


Requirements:

  • Analytical mindset, has done financial reporting (Trial balance sheets or Expenditure sheets)
  • Bach degree or experience in lieu
  • Experience with reconciliation, invoicing, billing, AR/AP, journal entries, general ledger, month end, year end
  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting
  • Understanding of depreciation, amortization, and capital lease

Day to Day:

A client in the Chattanooga area is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This individual will be responsible for research, pulling information and compiling data from the ERP system, finding contracts/leases and looking into funds. They will handle setting up the general ledger, manually adjusting journal entries (they are mostly automated but require some manually adjustments), accounts receivable & accounts payable, invoicing/billing, capital lease, depreciations and amortization.
