Job Description


Isobar Public Sector a dentsu digital agency is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to help lead our accounting departments daily operations.


You will work closely with the VP of Finance to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations. Our ideal candidate uses strong analytical skills to create detailed financial reports and forecasts.


What You’ll Do


  • Oversee payroll and serve as liaison between Isobar Public Sector and Unanet.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Assist with managing month-end and year-end closing.
  • Work with finance team to maintain accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets.
  • Lead daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
  • Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
  • Assist with preparing monthly reporting for parent company.
  • Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives.


Who You Are


  • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, laws and regulations.
  • Previous government accounting experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience with Unanet a plus.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reside in the New York Tri-state area is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite experience (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
