About The Role


Performs standard accounting functions for multiple companies and customers


Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities


  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying data
  • Other duties as assigned or prudent
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending quality, productivity, process, efficiency and other improvements
  • Supports Accounting and Organizational strategic goals, planning and initiatives
  • Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and other sources
  • Provides reliable answers to accounting and financial questions by researching, interpreting, and communicating data
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Being a strong right hand to the Staff Accountant III to offload various tasks
  • Responsible for general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month end closing of several smaller related companies
  • Be a self starter and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Maintain and file sales and use return filings
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Analyze expense variances from month to month with detailed explanations


Education And/or Experience


  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
  • Paperless (PVault) experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and legal requirements of accounting and finance
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Vista Viewpoint experience a plus
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Must possess good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in Construction Industry preferred
  • Sage Fixed Assets experience a plus
