Big picture of this role:

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising all members of the quality department in a manufacturing environment: plans and assigns work, implements policies, procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Ensures our Quality Accreditations Programs are updated and assists in maintaining our accreditation. The QC Supervisor will implement and oversee Continuous Improvement activities and Lean Manufacturing processes for all departments.

The role of the Quality Control Supervisor is crucial to the overall the quality of our processes and products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implements and maintains Quality programs
• Assure and maintain equipment operation and calibration
• Assist with product investigations and corrective measures
• Direct and manage plant operations for quality
• Monitor shop activities to ensure conformance with applicable building codes, standards, policies, and specifications
• Ensure team leaders and members understand and adhere to the Quality Control Program
• Develop and implement Quality Control Action Plans
• Provides direction, development, and leadership to production supervisor
• Conduct quality audits
• Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total quality objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Control profits, plans, and budget
• Establish and monitor overall plants performance for quality standards
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives

Job Qualifications:

• Proven knowledge in Statistical Process Control
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Computer literacy
• Metal Forming Experience
• Welding Knowledge
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
• Proven work experience as a Quality Control Supervisor for 3 years.
• Accredited per ASNT Level 3 in Non-Destructive Testing in Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particles, Liquid Penetrants and Radiography
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Be able to train and qualify new hired welders and fitters
• Proven work with AISC tolerances and fabrication methods.
