Job Summary:
VS&Co is looking for our next Sr Product Owner to lead our store technology digital product space. This is a big impact role working in collaboration with our store operations and digital teams to bring the best experiences to life for our customers and associates. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, collaborative, innovative and a positive leader with a mindset for growth!
Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate proven vision, strategy, and execution across digital and in store customer experiences. This position requires strong business leadership, technology acumen, and an ability to provide the appropriate level of influence at all levels. This person must drive the success in the store technology space, have a passion for great customer experiences, empathize with users’ goals and challenges, understand and leverage business data metrics, demonstrate good instincts about consumer behavior and business dynamics. Additionally, a successful candidate will have the following responsibilities/qualifications:
Establish Product Vision and Roadmaps
- Lead Product Team(s)
- Maintain competitive and marketplace awareness via research, patterning, and 3rd-party analysis of current best-in-class and emerging/advanced techniques, within and beyond specialty retail
- Collaborate with other Product Owners and teams to unlock dependencies and effectively leverage shared data, systems, and services
- Continuously evolve and optimize processes and standards to build speed, quality, agility, and flexibility
- Ensure digital product is operational and meets service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure team members maintain a current understanding of relevant business and customer trends and pain points
- Maintain a detailed understanding of e-commerce and store systems, data, processes, and the customer experiences they drive
- Issue Triage and Resolution
- Ensure A/B testing executed for applicable enhancements, and drive team financial accountability for results
- Ensure quality, compliance, and performance, manage technical debt, and ensure rapid response to customer or business issues
- Ensure product team is monitoring systems, communicate performance against SLAs and manage all product issues.
- Partner with UX research and Customer Care to understand your product space from the customer POV; identify key pain points and experience opportunities; ensure insights are carefully considered in prioritization
- Work with leadership and stakeholders across the organization to ensure your team initiatives are prioritized to ensure a focus on delivering the highest-value work
- Prioritize issues and ensure team triages and addresses issues in a timely manner
- Ensure adherence to best practices
- Manage Product Analyst(s), ensuring consistent and coordinated execution of Lean/Agile workflows, from backlog creation and grooming to UX research/prototyping, development, testing, deployment, analysis, and iteration
- Drive continuous learning & improvement; develop product dashboards and diagnostics, set KPI targets and leverage analytics to iterate and test in pursuit of defined outcomes
- Continuous testing and iterating after new product launches to ensure we’re continuing to meet ever changing customer needs; share best practices for growing sales/profitability
- Identify trends and product offerings which could further support the growth of an unparalleled customer experience
- Train, coach, and evangelize Lean disciplines to minimize waste and maximize speed of value to customer/business: user-centric design, Design thinking, MVP and iteration, Agile Development, etc.
- Guide Product team(s) development as “first among equals”: foster strong collaboration between product management, UX design, and development team members, while effectively managing relationships with stakeholders and internal/external partners
- Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives
- Facilitate clear communication of product requirements to all members of the product team, and ensure Acceptance Criteria accurately reflect intended functionality
Talent Management:
May supervise multiple teams of 1 – 2 associates – provide coaching and feedback, development and recognition of direct reports
Salary Range: $134,000 - $214,000
Qualifications
Years of Experience + Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 8+ years professional experience in digital product management, store experience is a plus
- 5+ years in team management role
