Job Description
Role Summary


The Sr. Manager of PMO and Communications ATLAS has the overall responsibilityto play a key part in establishing an end-to-end program vision and ongoing project planning to ensure the successful delivery of technology strategy to meet business objectives and NAR strategy goals. This individual will be responsible for organizing the process to prioritize and manage program-level project components, as well as collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to support upcoming program initiatives, objectives, and outcomes. This role will also, in strong partnership with the Director of Change Management and Training, create and execute communications strategies to maximize employee adoption, engagement, and ensure a smooth transformation of new programs and systems.


Role Responsibilities


Project Management – 40% of time


  • Establish project standards, processes, key stakeholders, and roles and responsibilities via RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) model.
  • Prepare and manage all project activities to include the development of overall guidance and prioritization categories, pre-structuring active and new initiatives, identification of project limitations (i.e., budgets, resources), interaction with various stakeholders, Invite and coordinate relevant prioritization meetings and document the results and initiate the relevant projects.
  • Leads the identification and implementation of Agile project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to include the creation of project roadmaps and realistic execution plans to achieve the program target state.
  • Lead the analysis of critical project paths, schedule management, resource planning, risk/issue identification and development of appropriate project controls.


Communications and Reporting – 40% of time


  • Effectively report on the overall project health by engaging with program Directors and key stakeholders to understand the status of the various projects, consolidate given information to support stakeholders with relevant information and act as intermediary between Executive Leadership and business lines to share information and initiate necessary scope changes.
  • Deliver executive level reporting, data visualization and insight generation as required and appropriate to support progress on strategic initiatives and Operational Excellence.
  • Assisting Vice President of Program Management with all Steering Committee, NAR Executive Leadership Team and Sponsor communications.
  • Develop communications channels and messages, routine and specialized communications efforts, may work with site change leads for optimization
  • Develop effective communications plans (including status, end user, manager and sponsor communications) to ensure communications alignment with project objectives and business unit/geography priorities
  • Creates balanced scorecards and program status reporting on monthly, quarterly and annual basis


Project Governance – 20% of time


  • Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the overall project management processes and best practices to ensure alignment on NAR organizational priorities, objectives, and goals.
  • Aligns with Vice President of Program Management, Program Directors and key business stakeholders on project responsibilities and establishes accountability for standardized processes, reporting, and governance.
  • Leads the establishment of a project management community to facilitate collaboration and best-practice sharing among Program Directors, IT and key PMO stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key PMO stakeholders and acts as a trusted advisor.

Years Of Relevant Experience


  • 10+ years of experience in leading transformations, building new operating models, leading change across the enterprise of talent, processes, and technologies
  • 5+ years of proven experience in leading Agile transformation across enterprise, well versed in talent, tools, governance models, project/financial planning and reporting required for execution
  • 10+ years designing and leading Program PMO experience, technology strategic planning and budgeting spanning the entire organization using various methodologies (e.g., zero-based budgeting, agile etc.) and portfolio management


Education


Required


  • B.S., B.A. in Computer Science or related discipline, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent job experience.

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive excellent customer-centric, digital and data business results.
  • Proven project and enterprise level program management experience – to include Infrastructure, Application and New System development – across a broad or complex organization
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
  • Proven understanding of advanced communications methodology and communications assessment techniques, as well as the development of communication channels and specialized communication efforts.

Work Flexibility


  • Must be willing to work off-hours to provide managerial oversight to program development activities that must take place on nights and weekends.
