Summary
As a member of the Global Talent Management team at Carhartt, the Sr. Manager of Talent & Performance Management provides global strategic direction, thought leadership, and supports the execution of all talent processes, programs, and performance management activities. As a leader on the Talent Management team, the person in this role will work collaboratively with other areas of HR and the business to directly manage the development needs of critical roles (T2V), while also coordinating, monitoring and measuring the impact of talent and performance initiatives and programs globally. The person in this role will partner with other members of Talent Management leadership to ensure continuity and consistency of Talent Management deliverables. The Sr. Manager of Talent and Performance Management has significant impact across the organization as their direction, strategy and actions are executed globally across several functions and regions-US, Mexico, EMEA and APAC.

Responsibilities
Develops the overall strategic direction and roadmap for talent and performance management
Leads, manages, mentors, coaches, and directs a team responsible for all global talent and performance management standards, programs, processes, and initiatives
Influences senior level stakeholders within the business and HR to drive organizational change programs towards a singular vision while embracing different approaches and styles
Provides the Talent and Performance Management team with the direction and thought leadership needed to effectively manage, execute, and evolve Carhartt’s talent processes, programs, and analytics. These processes and programs include talent identification and reviews, succession planning, critical role development (Talent2Value), internal mobility, and the development and delivery of talent programs needed across each career level (i.e. early career, mid-level, and senior level)
Oversees reporting and dashboards for the talent function, analyzes data and synthesizes themes and takeaways for key milestones, including year-end performance period, Leadership Talent Review, and development planning
Provides active leadership, guidance and oversight of annual performance management activities such as corporate and individual goals setting, development planning, quarterly check-in processes, annual reviews, and performance calibrations to ensure all associates and leaders are provided with the right tools and approaches for Performance Management
Establishes strong relationships across Talent Management, HR and the business functions to influence key priorities
Ensures organization-wide talent and performance management initiatives are in support of the overall company objectives and are focused, maintained, and effectively executed globally across all regions and functions
Participates in corporate strategic planning discussions and, in partnership with business leaders, leads discussions related to critical role identification and development
Ensures all talent data is collected, analyzed, maintained, and utilized as inputs into key talent processes and programs (i.e. succession planning, talent, and leadership development programs)
Works closely with the HRIS Sr. Manager to collect talent data and translate the data into insights through a talent dashboard that can be used to drive deliberate actions focused on addressing key talent gaps
Ensures talent programs include vertical development using assessments, experiences, and exposure
Oversees the maintenance and execution of the performance management system, including standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments
Researches and assists in the development/evolution of our Performance Management approach and programs that focus on enabling the workforce to achieve corporate goals
Stays current with emerging practices in the professional field of Organization Development through participating in networks and forums, sharing best practices with peers
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required
Master's Degree Preferred in Human Resources or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
SHRM or Talent Management certification is a plus
10 years’ experience working in Human Resources, including the following:
Minimum of 5 years formal or related leadership experience
Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent reviews, talent development, coaching, assessment, succession planning, mobility, data analytics and relationship management.
Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.
Exceptional presentation and speaking skills, including communication skills with the ability to bring ideas and concepts to life in persuasive/enthusiastic ways
Highly organized, have strong change and program management capabilities, be a strong communicator and able to navigate complexities across a global organization.
