Robotics & Digital Solutions, part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies is recruiting for a Senior Manager, MONARCH Global Strategy, located in Redwood City, CA.

At Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions, we’re changing the trajectory of health for humanity, using robotics to enhance healthcare providers’ abilities and improve patients’ diagnoses, treatments, and recovery times. Johnson & Johnson Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health, Verb Surgical, C-SATS, and Ethicon. It comprises three key med-tech platforms: Flexible Robotics (MONARCH®), Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA™), and Digital Solutions. You’ll collaborate on breakthrough medical technologies that unite multiple subject areas to build a connected digital ecosystem that advances medical professionals’ skills and improves patient outcomes.


The Sr. Manager, Global Strategy, will report to the Sr. Director of Global Strategy and be responsible for the MONARCH global business strategy and exploration of new white space opportunities for MONARCH. This individual will drive the strategic planning and portfolio prioritization process, while leading exploration for new indications, markets, specialties, adjacencies, and partnerships with Business Development. The Sr. Manager will help define a global KOL Strategy and assist in the development/execution of MONARCH’s Evidence Generation Strategy, Market Access (HEMA) Strategy, Phase 0 Market Research, and Voice of Customer (VOC) insights.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assists in the development/execution of MONARCH’s evidence generation strategy supporting clinical/economic claims and market access.
  • Leads annual strategic planning process.
  • Leads exploration of new indications, markets, specialties, adjacencies, and partnerships with Business Development.
  • Conducts Phase 0 Market Research and VOC together with Product and R&D teams.
  • Defines OUS expansion strategies.
  • Leads portfolio planning process and prioritization of new opportunities.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is required. MBA preferred.
  • Global business strategy development for the MONARCH™ Platform.
  • Defines global KOL strategy and drives alignment between cross-functional stakeholders including Product, US Marketing, Sales, Professional Education, Clinical Affairs, and the Lung Cancer Initiative.


Required Skills And Experience


  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant strategy, marketing, product, or consulting experience within healthcare industry or MedTech.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading MedTech market research and analysis, including (VOC) voice of the customer.
  • Track record of increasing responsibility across roles in Corporate Strategy, Product or Marketing Strategy, Commercial, and/or Engineering.
  • Ability to navigate and achieve business impact across a matrixed organization.
  • Distilling insights and strategic recommendations from large data sets and complex market models.
  • High proficiency working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Product Management or Strategy tools.


Preferred Skills And Experience


  • Cross-functional MedTech experience (ie…Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, etc.)
  • Experience in Pulmonary/Thoracic, Urology, or GI specialties
  • Experience with disruptive medical technologies that create new markets or market segments
  • Experience in Robotics
  • Experience with Capital, Consumable, and Digital product offerings.


Other


  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $130,200 to $224,825
  • This role may require up to 25% travel both international and domestic
