The Event Management Analyst (Business Process Specialist) will be responsible for working collaboratively with service owners to establish, maintain, enable consumption of and continually improve AIOps & Event Management to ensure value and alignment to metrics objectives.

• Assist with design of and gaining approval for monitoring requirements
• Assist with integration of solution into AIOPs tool
• Assist with enrichment of integrated monitoring solutions due to changes and new requirements
• Assist teams with RCCA
• Design solutions with service owners
• Develop or approve monitoring requirements
• Develop and maintain operational, execution, and training documentation
• Assist with validation and testing integrated solutions
• Monitor dashboards for opportunities for proactive incident & problem management
• Assist with training delivery
• Proactive monitoring for process execution by service delivery teams
• Collaborate with service owners on to build or improve their monitoring solution
• Report findings and progress to leadership on a regular basis
• Escalate concerns where appropriate
• Review the monitoring solutions for continual process improvements (CPI) with service owners

Background/Experience

• Six to ten years in development and support work related to systems or infrastructure technology is common.
• The incumbent should be knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware and software; infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools.
• BiG Panda Experience a plus
• ServiceNow Experience a plus
• Requires a relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• In addition, the incumbent should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization."
