Overview:
Our client, a US Fortune 500 company and a provider of managed Health care, Pharmacy benefits & specialty areas for managed care organizations / employers / government agencies, seeks an accomplished Senior Instructional Designer.
*** Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship ***

*** Duration: 6 months contract w/ possibility of extension
Notes:
- PART TIME work: Average 20 hours per week.
Description:
- Partners with internal customers to clarify business objectives, identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintains progressive knowledge of the trends in instructional design, learning methodologies and learning technology solutions.
- Creates design standards, templates, and integrates technology-based tools into the development process.
- Possesses and provides expertise in the full life cycle of instructional design processes (ADDIE or other industry accepted models) to design, develop and implement effective instructional materials, learning resources and content.
- Routinely researches current trends, tools and techniques associated with content/curriculum design and development.
Qualifications:
- Camtasia or Adobe Premier (video and audio development/editing).
- 5+ years of instructional design experience with proven ability to design and build innovative, creative content, including eLearning modules, instructional videos, job aids and web sites.
- Expert in use of Microsoft Products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple, complex projects with tight timeframes in a matrixed environment.
- Storyline and Rise (eLearning design/development).
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Healthcare Industry background/knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Saba/Cornerstone Learning Management System.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design theory and models, learning styles, knowledge management practices and performance improvement models.
- Experience with multimedia authoring, graphic creation tools and learning management systems.
- Experience with remote training using asynchronous meeting tools such as NetMeeting, Webex, or LiveMeeting.
- Ability to function independently and as a team member.
- Certification in training, development, learning or performance improvement.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Video Editing experience.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Adobe Photoshop (graphic design/editing) or other advanced image editing application(s).
