Job Description

Sr. Financial Analyst

$75-90k plus 6% bonus

Lee's Summit, MO office - 95% remote

Bell & Associates has been engaged to help our client find their next Sr. Financial Analyst. The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide accurate and data-based information on the company’s effectiveness and stability. They will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well-informed decisions, write reports, and monitor financial movements. They will work with management and senior leadership to provide guidance on strategy and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify trends, advise company, and recommend actions to a FP&A management based on sound analysis.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement, forecasts etc.) considering the company’s goals and financial standing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Analyze project performance against expense and benefit expectations each month.
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
  • Develop reports and analyze nonfinancial data. Incorporate financial data into this analysis when appropriate.
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Partner with management to understand financial reporting needs and desired outcomes.
  • Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.
  • Support the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the Manager, FP&A.
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and process analysis.
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with budgets and prior periods.

Requirements

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Requires organizational skills and must have the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Requires ability to work with large sets of data and business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on analysis and decision support, or, other bachelor’s degree and 9 years of experience in accounting or finance with a focus on analysis and decision support.
  • Requires effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires strong analytical skills and some understanding of accounting principles.
  • Requires knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Work-at-home requirements

  • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
  • Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
