Job Description
The Sr. Director of Trade Marketing defines and executes Red Bull’s Off Premise retail visibility strategy. This role oversees the strategic development of in-store POS infrastructure and tools which are the #1 source of awareness for Red Bull and directly influences the $90M Off Premise POS budget.


The core aspect of this role is the leadership, development, and management of Red Bull’s premium merchandising strategy, end to end management of POS including budgeting, ordering and planning, and management of our portfolio of POS and sales tools to meet both Brand and business objectives. The Sr. Director of Trade Marketing will define Red Bull’s POS Strategy and team structure required to deliver against the vision of looking like #1 in-store. They set and maintain merchandizing standards, effective ways-of-working with cross functional stakeholders and deliver innovative ways to build brand presence with our most distinctive brand assets in retail. As a function of bringing the Brand to life at retail, this role will also oversee the team that ensures the successful commercial execution of multi-faceted POS executions, connecting both field and SaMo counterparts on the Brand and Sales teams.

BUILD PREMIUM BRAND PRESENCE AT RETAIL


Defines Off Premise POS strategy and delivers an efficient POS portfolio, driving premium Brand and product visibility at retail Delivers execution of National In-Store Messaging Calendar and manages timelines Translates Brand assets into breakthrough Retail visibility tools & initiatives Defines the POS look of success at retail on a national level Partner with sales and respective strategic accounts to define the future state of retail marketing and provide creative solutions to identified challenges, all while keeping Red Bull’s presence at retail top of mind Co-leads key POS Strategy topics including POS Guideline Strategy, POS In-Store Optimization Project, Core vs. Non-Core items, etc. Owns the strategy development of trade shows (ex. NACSs) and retail events in partnership with the sales team


BUSINESS PLANNING AND DEVLIVERING COMMERCIAL RESULTS


Drives Red Bull’s marketing strategy into the commercial side of our business and ultimately into sales growth in the Off Premise retail environment Supports annual POS planning process by defining in-store marketing strategies and aligning sales & marketing objectives with Red Bull’s portfolio of POS tools Develops annual portfolio of premium POS assets to support commercial objectives Refines Off Premise executional guidelines (“Flight Books”) annually in conjunction with sales and distribution leadership Installs principles of commercial-business-case approach to in-store presence related decisions and developments Turns retail into a principled arena of execution, applies and measures appropriate business-results expectations Devises and executes SMART tests that build Red Bull brand equity while enabling objective decisions on POS related innovations Creates sales tools for the RTM network that support retail visibility execution


DEVELOPS WINNING INNOVATIONS


Develops custom solutions for key accounts driven by industry insights, trends and opportunities Enables space-winning improvisation in-store through clear, actionable guidelines and guardrails Leads and delivers consistent portfolio innovation, including but not limited to, Digital Crowners & Connected Cooler projects Thought leader who partners closely with top customers on innovative store concepts – i.e., store of the future.


POS BUDGETING AND PLANNING


Owns POS budgeting in partnership with finance team members maximizing impact in-store while driving efficiencies within the budget Enables POS planning aligned with the channel strategy Manages POS planning and ordering working in close partnership with OS Operations Leads creation of POS training materials in conjunction with the Sales Training team Own POS communications strategy executing across Key Accounts, Distribution, Distributor Partners, and Account Sales Managers Oversees Smart cooler and data management, leverages insights and data to optimize POS execution


DRIVES EFFICIENT CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION


Fosters strong relationships with all internal stakeholders to drive a culture of mutual accountability, collaboration, and partnership Defines ways-of-working processes and practices with marketing, sales, and operations stakeholders Represents Trade Marketing in cross functional leadership teams to continuously update and innovate POS at Red Bull to support Marketing & Sales initiatives Owns HQ-level interfacing with fellow support functions: Finance, Operations, Procurement Owns relationship & strategic alignment with global Trade Marketing counterparts Owns cross functional relationship with Global Cross Functional team inclusive of Trade Marketing, Operations, IT and Trade Finance Owns POS Redesign Project team driving an overhaul of the POS process in partnership with the Global CFT


LEADS AND MANAGES INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS


Owns the POS CFT and HQ POS meetings Performs merchandising industry research and networking Represents Red Bull Trade Marketing department at key industry events i.e., NACS. Manages Trade Marketing oversight of POS agencies and suppliers Seeks out inputs and support from cross functional stakeholders in ensuring that consumers perceive Red Bull as a relevant and premium Brand in the Off Premise


LEADERSHIP AND COACHING


Provides proactive coaching and development support for 6 direct reports through annual performance reviews and regular performance check-ins Leads the Trade Marketing team by example living the Brand Marketing standards (sense of urgency, innovation, calculated risk-taking, and integrity) Identifies areas of opportunity to expand the team and individuals’ scope of influence throughout RBNA organization Develops a culture of Diversity & Inclusion and promotes the Red Bull Leadership Code and values

The base salary range for this position is $177,000 to 197,000 + cash incentives


Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.


The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
