Summary of Role:


This role is pivotal in establishing an exceptional customer experience through the management of front-line customer-facing roles (e.g., Project Coordinators, Schedulers, etc.), ensuring that projects are managed efficiently through optimizing ‘back-office’ workflows (e.g., interconnection, amendments, incentives, etc.). To be successful, the leader in this role will map SunPower’s operations workflows, leverage analytics to understand workflow efficiency and create recommendations for senior and executive management to refine or optimize those workflows. In addition, the leader in this role will program or project manages short-and-long term process improvement and change management projects in collaboration with leaders in cross-functional teams. The individual in this role will manage SunPower’s customer experience teams who project manage installations, oversee the scheduling, activation, and interconnection teams, and work with leaders in the Philippines to optimize overseas support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Using data-driven analytics tools (or developing performance metrics where none exist), develops a deep understanding of the company’s operational workflows, identifies friction points and/or pockets of inefficient operations, and develops proposals for optimization and organizational change.
  • Builds requirements for dashboards, forecasting, and mechanisms for timely and reliable reporting to stakeholders
  • Directly and indirectly manages a diverse group of teams including customer-facing Project Coordinators, Interconnection and Activation Specialists, Schedulers, and in collaboration with in-country leaders, away-teams in the Philippines including developing and implementing training and quality programs.
  • Establishes and continuously optimizes methods for monitoring service levels, monitors assesses and responds to customer feedback, and establishes policies and procedures that result in an exceptional customer experience.
  • Program managers short-and-long term, complex, and technical programs that involve multiple functions or organizations with diverse requirements and objectives
  • Directly and substantively contributes to the strategic planning of SunPower’s Operations group both in collaboration with other senior leaders and by creating and disseminating data that is used to understand operational workflows.
Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ years’ experience leading or substantively contributing to strategic planning and budgeting in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated direct and indirect management/leadership experience and experience working with or leading international away teams.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience including no less than five years in operations leadership positions in a solar or renewables energy (residential or commercial) company or a construction management role.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging analytics and forecasting to reveal business operations performance, forecast future performance, and identify areas of concern or underperformance
  • Demonstrated track record of translating strategic plans into tactical roadmaps and managing both direct reports and stakeholder teams to consistent delivery of objectives
