Sr Data Analyst - Remote

As an Sr Healthcare Data Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting data analysis, performing normalization operations, and assuring data quality. Responsibilities include creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations to other stakeholders involved in the data implementation process. This position requires a solid analytical skillset, data analysis and healthcare claims experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, mapping data structures to meet established requirements, using in-depth knowledge of healthcare datasets
• Deeply investigate undefined business problems to identify key data requirements, troubleshoot data quality and logic/mapping issues and determine root cause into a common point of view
• Discuss issues and questions related to claims data analysis, issue documentation; work with business stakeholders to review and resolve these issues in an agile framework, rapidly delivering value to our customers
• Communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written forms, and be able to present and demonstrate work to technical and non-technical leadership

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and database structures (such as SQL, Oracle, Teradata)
• 3+ years of writing/developing SQL queries
• 3+ years of experience in data mapping between data sources
• 1+ years of experience in testing and validation
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis with an in-depth knowledge of claims and claims processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a challenging dynamic atmosphere
• Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
