Job Description
Job Summary:


The primary purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day operations of Lowe’s Workforce Management (WFM) programs. This position not only leads projects that impact store labor productivity, but also delivers analytics and insights to senior leadership. This includes all aspects of financial planning for a multi-billion-dollar expense, creating a store organizational design to deliver on strategic efforts, and supporting WFM software applications to ensure stores are staffed to provide great customer experiences across all stores.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Proactively benchmarks budget, analysis, and scope of projects to ensure they fall within the available resources and timelines, while providing the input necessary for the success of the business
  • Identifies and recommends areas of opportunity for expense control and labor optimization, used to inform workforce management decisions made by business leaders in various functions
  • Delivers in-depth analysis of labor allocation, including the use of complex statistical models, engineered labor standards, and field operations input to develop recommendations for executive leadership
  • Creates intricate models used in payroll planning, long range planning, and wage growth projections, providing insight into the best utilization of business resources
  • Conducts analysis and data modeling used to improve store productivity and drive business performance, and develops recommendations informed by senior experience on high impact, high visibility projects
  • Identifies and presents actionable insights to resolve workforce planning and management challenges
  • Synthesizes information from a variety of sources to derive insights and provide subject-matter expertise
  • Uses engineered labor standards to develop a store operating model
  • Partners closely with HR and Finance to determine employee fill rates, hiring projections, staff planning, and financial planning
  • Completes inputs for forecasts used to predict the labor capacity and financial resources necessary for payroll allocation and store organizational design at Lowe’s


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Engineering, Data Science, Management, Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field
  • 2 Years Experience related to workforce planning, data science, or data modeling. A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) will be considered in lieu of requisite experience
  • 3 Years Experience related to workforce planning, data science, or data modeling. A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) will be considered in lieu of requisite experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ability to problem solve creatively and learn quickly
  • 2 Years Experience using business analysis and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.) to perform analysis
  • 1 Year Experience working on Agile project management teams
  • Masters Degree in Operations Engineering, Data Science, Management, Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field
  • 2 Years Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools (MicroStrategy, TM1, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects, Cognos, Teradata, etc.)
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, effectively prioritize efforts and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • 1 Year Experience using Python, R, Java, or comparable Object-Oriented programming language
  • 2 Years Experience in an analytical role
