About this opportunity

Align is seeking an SQA Engineer to assist us in delivering world-class software. Utilizing modern agile-based methodologies, you will work on a cross-functional team to build solutions that impact hundreds of internal users.


In this role, you will…
The Identity Center of Excellence Department works on identifying and solving the challenges other parts of the organization face, thereby developing an effective long-term solution. The scope of work of the Test Architecture team includes consulting/auditing, auto-testing of applications, and implementing our projects and best practices in their flow.
  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline 4-7 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Automation test design and maintenance.
  • Accountable for Unit, Automation tests, build, and deployment of one or more modules in a DevOps environment.
  • Testing web service APIs (SOAP or REST) and web UI applications.
  • Working with build & test configuration tools such as JUnit, Unix Shell scripting, Gradle, Jmeter, GIT, and SQL.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change regularly with a high degree of initiative and a sense of urgency.
  • Working with Test Planning, execution, and tracking tools.
  • A desire to learn and to explore new technologies and take on new challenges
  • Hands-on experience writing test automation scripts with Selenium & Java
  • Possess experience in JavaScript test automation.
  • Design and development of single-page applications using TDD (Test driven development) and (DDD) Domain-driven design models.
  • Results-oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action.
  • Working with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools to integrate, run and monitor the automation scripts.
  • In-depth knowledge of applying principles and theories of software verification and validation.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Cucumber, JBehave, Jasmine, or similar testing frameworks using ClientD practices.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment methodologies

In this role, you’ll need …
  • Experience in an integrated environment based upon platform software such as Windows/Mac, Internet Information Server, Oracle, or SQL/Server.
  • Understanding of leading tools and technologies for developing web, database, and related applications. (Cypress, Mercury Suite, Selenium, Segue, etc)
  • The ability to manage complex test projects in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment is required
  • Self-driven and able to work independently and interact with the platform team.
  • Excellent understanding of SDLC
  • Substantial experience working with testers both onsite and offshore.
  • Hands-on experience in authoring and executing manual test cases
  • 5-8 years of experience in software test planning and execution
  • Experience supporting the delivery of enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with load performance measurement tools such as Silk Performer, Silk Test, Load Runner, and Win Runner.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA metrics, process performance/capability baseline and statistical techniques
  • Strong process documentation skills
  • Programming knowledge in one or major languages and/or scripting tools such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.
  • Ability to create, read, and run queries and SQL procedures/scripts and perform data analysis to interpret results.
  • Working knowledge of SQA Tools: Code Coverage, Automation, Requirements and Test Case Management, and Defect Tracking Experience.
