As the Build and Release Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing continuous integration solutions. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Use Windows and Java build systems and servers
  • Work with Jenkins, PowerShell and Ansible deployment tools
  • Integrate additional tools into the pipeline for test automation, analysis and security
  • Develop and maintain productivity tools
  • Write effective documentation
  • Deliver Microservices
  • Study, understand and communicate necessary technology that is used or being considered for the company

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL for Oracle and SQL Server, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in build and release engineering in complete mobile, web or back end infrastructure product cycles, preferably all three
  • Proficiency in trouble shooting
  • 1 year of industry experience in build and release engineering/DevOps
  • Significant version control experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or military experience
  • Experience with Ansible, VMware, Jenkins, PowerShell, Java and .NET

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • Experience with Bash Scripting, Windows and Linux administration
  • Git/GitHub Experience
