The Speech and Language Pathologist performs evaluations, interprets evaluation results and develops a treatment plan in conjunction with treatment team. Treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive and swallowing disorders provided in a variety of hospital settings. Patient and caregiver education and carry-over training.


Qualifications


Minimum Education

  • Masters degree - Required
  • Doctoral degree - Preferred

Certification/Licensure

  • Eligible for Texas State Licensure - Required
  • Handle With Care - must obtain within 30 days of hire date
  • Vital Stim Certification - Preferred
  • Certificate of clinical Competency - Preferred
  • Speech-language Pathologist License in the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - must obtain within 30 days of hire date
